1305 The Battle of St Cast, 1758

On paper, the Battle of Saint Cast looked like it would be nothing other than a resounding British victory. The result however, would be very different and would sound the near end of such operations against the north French coast.

The backdrop to the Battle of Saint Cast was the beginning of the Seven Years War in 1756, which was a complex affair involving most of the greatest world powers at the time. It affected Europe, North America, Central America, the West African coast, India, and the Philippines.
